The island of Ibiza is perfect for doing plans with kids and family, same if you are spending your holidays here or you live here. Last week we showed some of the best beaches to visit with kids. Today we reveal more activities you can do in the paradise island. Write them down so you don’t miss any!
Ibiza from the sea
Don’t know about you, but every time that I visit an island I love to roam the coast in a boat and view the island from the sea. It gives you a much wider vision of the island, as well as a different perspective. For that reason, spending a day sailing can be a very original plan.
Have you heard about glass-bottom boats? They are boats with a glass-covered floor, so you can see the ocean floor. An incredible activity and something that in our daily lives we can rarely see. A science class live for both adults and kids. If you’re lucky you may even see dolphins. There are excursions scheduled from the Santa Eulalia harbour to San Antonio.
Another option is to spend the day in Formentera and swim in its turquoise waters. You can pick up the Ferry from the Ibiza harbour. Or if you prefer there are excursions by boat to many beaches in Ibiza. Instead of going by car you can visit it by boat. It’s up to you.
Ibiza from the sky
If heights don’t scare you dare yourself to fly above the Pitiusas, by hot-air balloon or by plane. A much recommended experience indeed. In the islands you will find companies for every wallet. Choose the one that better suits your budget. If you prefer flying in a balloon the excursion is usually made with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 6. It lasts about 4 hours of flight. Enjoy!
Play centres in Ibiza
If you live on the island or you are passing by and the weather is bad, the play centres that you can find here are the perfect option to spend the afternoon with your kids. It has sliders and ball parks, as well as large variety in offers of kid’s activities. I recommend some like Piruleto Park, in Playa D’en Bossa. El Árbol de la risas, in Santa Eulalia, Zipilandia, in Ibiza, or Espai Magic Jumping Clay, in San Antonio.
Aquatic sports
If you want to be the next Kelly Slater or try it, I suggest to take some surf classes with Surf Loung company which is located in the surf area and nearby the Intercop Hotel. If you stay in will be a very good option for you. Surf Loung is very popular between families
Like I told you in the other post, almost all of the beaches in Ibiza give you the option to rent a pedal boat. But also you can do Stand-up Paddle (San Antonio, San Miguel harbour), diving (Cala Padan, Playa d’en Bossa, Portinatx, San Antonio…), windsurf (Santa Eulalia, Playa d’en Bossa), kayak (Cala Martina, Es Figueral…) or take a ride and have some laughs in the Banana Sky Bus (Cala Bassa).
I suggest to you Take Off company which has many different offers for aquatic activities
Splashing in aquatic parks
Water parks are another good choice for families. Children really love the amazing slides and jumping and swimming in the pool. Moreover, you will find fun slides for all ages, picnic and children area.. Near the hotel I will suggest to visit Sirenis Aquagames water park or Aguamar, in D’en Bossa Beach. Please, do not forget to bring sunscreen!
