Today I want to honour to my favourite island, for the many years I’ve been visiting her and for the many more years that I shall continue to do so.
The first time I came the island was with my college classmates and since then I have come back year after year. With friends, with my partner and now with my children as well.
I’ve always loved the diversity that you find in whichever part of Ibiza you go and whatever plan you have. All kind of people, with different tastes and ages, making the same plans. This is something that you can’t find in many places on the planet and I really know what I’m talking about since travelling is what I’ve been doing all my life.
Its beaches, its villages, its corners, its sunsets, its cuisine, its sunrises, its leisure, its excursions, its relaxation, its people, its flowers, its skies, its sea, its beaches and coves, its neighbouring island, its natural charm, its beauty.
All of which makes it makes my favourite island. When I travel there it’s when I most enjoy a real holiday and when I can’t travel there it’s the place where I dream of and where my imagination takes me when I close my eyes.
A sunset at Es Vedrà in San Jose, a sunrise in Pou des Lleó in Santa Eulalia, a walk through Dalt Vila, the walled city of Ibiza, a Sunday morning in the Hippie Market of San Juan or a good breakfast in the Marina Palace in San Antonio are five things I always do every time I go back.
Ibiza, how beautiful you are!
