It all started while watching a documentary of the Ibiza hippie on TV , that made me really want to go to visit the island in person and investigate more about it.
I’ll trace back to the beginning of the beginning, so as to go in order, I inquired about the first inhabitants of Ibiza and and its sister island, Formentera, and its history dates back to the Bronze Age, several bronze axes and disks were found in Ibiza as a sign of the first inhabitants . -Wow !
After consulting various sources I gathered that these islands were uninhabited for two millennia or, at the very least, that no traces of human presence have been found until prehistory.
From this period we can find the monument and megalithic tomb of Ca na Costa on the island of Formentera, the most important monument of the whole prehistory of the Pitiusas Islands or the cave paintings in Ses Fontanelles in northern San Antonio de Portmany in Ibiza.
All these relics still preserved, are clear evidence that Ibiza is an island with history, an island that has lived with different cultures and peoples until today .
