One of the things I know for sure is that the village of Megève is beautiful at any time of the year and much more so during the spring soltice.
The last weeks of winter in Megève are warmer and the days of skiing and snow are enjoyed as never before. With the arrival of spring everything around you starts to change. The snow begins to disappear and the mountains start to shed their white mantle.
And with such pleasant temperatures you can enjoy many outdoor activities in all the area.
You will never forget a family outing, with a guide, in the spectacular scenery around Mont Blanc, and if there is snow … with snowshoes!
If the adrenaline is your thing then you can’t leave the French Alps without paragliding over the mountain peaks.
There is also room for romantics. What can be more romantic than a balloon ride? That really is an unforgettable experience.
And if you are so in love with the village that you don’t want to go far you have an ample choice of activities to enjoy with your family or your friends.
I already told you about the Calvary trail, a good option to see Megève and the surrounding mountains without leaving the village centre.
But not everything is nature … you can also practice all kinds of sports.
In the centre of the village, during the ski season months, children will have a great time on the ice skating rink.
To practice your skating skills throughout the year, there is an ice-covered track at the Palais des Sport, a huge complex dedicated to sports, body worship and relaxation.
In addition to the skating rink, there are swimming pools, a sauna, tennis courts, fitness rooms, a a climbing club … and a spa center where you can receive a specific treatment or a relaxing massage, or simply disconnect in some of their jacuzzis.
And if you still want more, during the month of March the Megève Jazz Festival is held, a must for music lovers.
Impressive nature, one of the best ski areas in the French Alps, excursions, adventure sports, family activities, relaxing spas, music festivals …
Do you still wonder why we like Megève so much and why we keep going back year after year?
