The cold weather has arrived and it’s not only a good sweater and a hot cup of tea that warms me up, it’s the warm memories of the great summer I’ve spent in Ibiza. Those beach days, the typical lunches and dinners, the hotel pool, the good times, the villages, the old friends I’ve seen again and the new ones I’ve met.
I like winter, but I’m already planning my next summer in Ibiza and I will definitely return to my favorite shelter (Marina Palace) because it is a quiet place where I feel at home, because of its magical sunsets, friendly staff, gardens, swimming pool, the view from my room and because it’s my nook of inspiration.
The best and most surprising of 2014 for me have been the performances, live music nights, days of paella and flamenco in “TypicalSpanish” style at Miramare. Salsa nights have been great fun and the truth is that having dinner, enjoying something different every night after sunset has been spectacular.
Most relaxing of all has been having breakfast looking at the sea, listening to the waves and of course, going down to the pool and enjoying every week the massages offered by the hotel that left me feeling like new and helped me calm my back pain due to my poor postures while writing.
I’m going to leave some of those summer memories for when the really cold winter arrives and I need a good dose of sun, even if it’s only closing my eyes and imagining the perfect summer in Ibiza.
