Ibiza, the so called sunny island or the island that never sleeps… Hmmm, maybe it never sleeps, but it does rest…
In late October, nightclubs and many shops close. The beaches are emptied and beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed in the western part of the island. And I’m thinking … Could it be the perfect opportunity to go end enjoy the peace and the last warm days before starting to think about our winter holidays? I can think of, at least, three reasons:
With over 30 km of beach on the western side of the island, Ibiza offers some unforgettable sunsets. Whether we prefer rocks or white sand, every sunset in Ibiza is different and always surprising. With the arrival of autumn, reddish colours appear and the light is more intense. It is the perfect moment to escape from the cold North, take a holiday in Ibiza and enjoy the marvellous light of October!
We can forget the sweltering heat of July and August. October announces more bearable heat and a breeze that attenuate the sunbeams that still strike strong. Beach days, yes! But also days to take advantage of the warm weather and visit the many unknown places of the island. Rent a bike or a scooter or just enjoy a walk through the countryside in the centre of the island… are activities we can enjoy more with a more breathable weather.
In Ibiza, holidays in October also mean peace. No more noise, no more crowded beaches, no more streets where you can not walk. Now you can find parking and place on the beach for children to build castles in the sand.
The only other thing we need is to enjoy a quiet terrace in San Jose or a walk through the old town of Ibiza and its maze of whitewashed streets!
