I was thinking about a song to introduce this post, something related to this time of year that spoke of summer, holidays, heat, travel, fun, rest … but inspiration doesn’t seem to be coming my way because none comes to mind. If you have any summer song in mind it would be great if you comment on the post, that way we could could start to write and read the next posts with good rhythm.
There is still much summer ahead so I will continue to share my favourite tips for travelling with your family and I hope you’ll find them useful.
In the first part I talked about the importance of choosing what to pack and how to enjoy the journey to get to your holiday destination. On this occasion I would like to talk about the benefits of educational trips, a learning opportunity for our children in the context of holidays.
I take the opportunity to teach (or even relearn in my case ) geography with the map in hand or use walks to talk about biology and geology, practice maths while exchanging currency or calculating the distance between our destination and our home, and meeting the locals is a wonderful way to practise languages and to learn about history and cultures.
Travelling with children is possible, we just have to be willing to have fun and discover new corners of the world.
