Surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Balearic Sea, Ibiza is well known for its beautiful sandy beaches and charming coves. Our aparthotels in Ibiza are located in the beautiful San José area and close to some of Ibiza’s most famous beaches and sunset spots. The closest beach to our resorts is the pretty bay of Port d’es Torrent. With its golden sand, calm waters perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and a variety of restaurants and beach bars, it is the ideal choice for a beach day.
A little bit further down the coast is the well-known Cala Bassa beach, a gently curved stretch of golden sand protected by a smattering of Sabina trees. Thanks to its shallow, turquoise waters, rock pools and beautiful views, in the high season Cala Bassa becomes one of Ibiza's most popular and busy beaches.
Our hotels in Ibiza are also located within easy reach of the famous Cala Conta, one of the island’s most popular sunset beaches. Surrounded by striking cliffs, Cala Conta is actually made up of three small beaches interrupted by rugged rock formations. Each of them dazzles with white, powder-soft sands, incredible azure waters and spectacular views of the Ibiza sunset. Cala Conta is a must-visit during your holiday in the Balearic Islands, but can get over-crowded in peak season.
The charming resort of Cala Vadella is a popular choice for families. Protected from the wind, with golden sands and shallow, calm waters, and a big variety of cafés, restaurants and beach bars, it is easy to spend a whole day there.
Offering fantastic, unspoilt views of the mysterious rock island of Es Vedrá, Cala d’Hort is a striking beach surrounded by cliffs, with a mix of sand and pebbles. Its natural beauty and clear waters have earned it the status of a National Park, meaning it is much less built-up than other popular Ibiza beaches. It is accessed by a winding coastal road, and a little more challenging to reach on foot.
Other famous Ibiza beaches we recommend you to visit include the glamorous Salinas beach in the south of the island, beautiful Benirrás beach in the north with its famous hippie drummers, Sa Caleta with its striking red cliffs and the stunning Cala Nova, one of the few beaches in Ibiza where you can surf depending on the weather.
Discover the paradise beaches of Formentera
Ibiza’s neighbouring sister island Formentera may be the smallest in the Balearic archipelago, but its paradisiacal beaches are legendary. Boasting white, powder-soft sands and incredible clear waters in a myriad of shades of blue, Formentera’s stunning scenery is said to have inspired Walt Disney’s vision of Neverland in the classic Peter Pan cartoon. It takes just 30 minutes to reach Formentera from the port of Ibiza Town and you have the option to go by public ferry or charter a private boat. Book yourself a table for lunch in one of the many renowned beach restaurants and dine on the freshest seafood and fish, with your toes in the sand. It’s an unforgettable day out you will not want to miss!
